TGF Flirty Anya Thank You Card

Happy Sunday, everyone! I wanted to share this card before I put it in the mail this week. I love this little lady from the Greeting Farm. The weekend I organized all my Greeting Farm stamps (see that post here), I knew that I wanted to make cards with the Flirty Anya stamp. She's so bright and cheerful. I was also super excited to use my new Sew Easy from We R Memory Keepers which I hope to use often. I ordered it back in January from an Ebay dealer when all my normal online sources were out of stock. Now I understand that its back in stock at most places, so I might have to look into getting more accessories for it. Basically, it allows you to do stitching without a sewing machine and without worrying about evenly spacing your hand stitches. Very neat. Anyway, have a great Sunday and here's my card:

The Greeting Farm Collection

Photobucket

Just like my Cricut, which got me into obsessive paper crafting (rather than just once a year cards), the Greeting Farm got me into stamping. I am still far from an expert colorer and have dozens of stamps that have never graced the face of a project, but I love collecting them! Be sure to check out my wishlist, before you go.

My Pink Stamper Stamps

At the moment, I have 7 sets of Robyn's (aka My Pink Stamper) stamps. Originally designed to coordinate with Cricut images, most of the says are clever little puns ("punny") and tend to be more fun than stock greetings like "Happy Birthday" and "Have a Great Day," although she has those too. Like all the other folks on the internet, she advertises them as "high quality photo-polymer." I must admit that they are thicker than many of my old Hero Art stamps and definitely more so than generic acrylic stamps that I have. Still, for me, the big selling point is the cleverness of the compilations. You can check out all her stamps on her products page here. I have bought or received most of the sets in my collection from Custom Crops, however a couple have come from Hallmark Scrapbook and Crafts to Favor. I recently discovered that they are also available on Amazon from CrafteCorner's Amazon store, which is awesome because I could use my Amazon gift certificates.

As of now, I have:

Fruit and Veggie Puns
Photobucket

Punny-licious
- She released this stamp set with the Create a Critter cartridge and it was a HUGE hit that was widely imitated around the net. It is possible that she copied the idea first, possibly from Provocraft who includes numerous puns in their word art. Nonetheless, this stamp set is awesome and its popularity spawned a bunch of others around the 'net.
Photobucket

More Punny-licious
- Following the success of Punny-licious, this was her next set of funny phrases that go great with multiple cartridges.
Photobucket

Even More Punny-licious
Photobucket

Spooky Puns
-I made more Halloween cards than ever last year with this set.
Photobucket

Winter Punnies
- This is a great Winter set, not really Christmas-y at all.
Photobucket

Happiest Moments
- Great all-occasion set.

Halloween Day 7: The Greeting Farm "Hallo Witch"

As you may know, the Greeting Farm released their new line of Halloween stamps Wednesday morning. I couldn't wait and ordered a couple first thing, even before having my coffee. What is great about them is that they're digitals ("digis"), which means that you print them directly from your computer. While I prefer physical stamps to digis most of the time, these were so cute that I really appreciated the instant gratification. (They're also cheaper, too). I assume that these images will only be digis since it is rather late in the Halloween card-making season and most rubber stamps shipped soon after CHA, but who knows?

Here's my first Halloween card since last month. Of the the set of new stamps, she's my favorite. Don't worry, I'm still working on the last recipe box and will hopefully have it up on Friday or Saturday.

The Greeting Farm: Fleur Anya

Here are two more super simple cards using Fleur Anya. I colored both of these before I got my Neenah paper and E000 Copic marker, so it's not my best work. Nonetheless, I like her. I used a scrap of paper from my stash. Have a great week.

Get Well Bear

No, no one's sick (that I know of), but I couldn't resist this adorable bear from Kaban Stamps. I think the set's called "Little Friends." I cut the bear out of the picture as there's a little table and some bottles, which really didn't fit on this card. I'm actually thinking that I probably could use him on a different sort of card, maybe a miss you or something that. Regardless, he's cute! I used a new border punch that I got at Michaels (it's their Recollections line). These daisies are cute, but the punch doesn't seem too sturdy and is stiff. Here's my card.

Photobucket

Materials:

- Paper: A2 white card base, pattern paper cut at 4 x 5.25", green strip of cardstrip 1.5" x 4.25" (before punching)

- Adhesives: Pink ATG gun, Zig two-way glue pen, glue dots

- Stamp(s): Kanban "Little Friends", stamped using Ranger Archival ink and clear embossed before coloring with Copics, Hero Arts "Everyday Sayings" stamped using Memento ink, Colorbox chalk ink for distressing.

- Punch(es): Recollections flower border punch, Marvy Uchida 1.5" circle punch

-Embellishments: ribbon, gems

New Kanban stamps!

This stamp set is my first order from a shop across the pond. I saw stamps from this stamp set by Kanban called Little Friends on a blog and had to find them for myself. The rest of the set includes two more bears, as well as various sentiments. Even with the poor exchange rate with the Euro, I got a pretty good deal, including shipping from Funky Kits.

Paper Cutz Challenge # 52

I'm participating in my first challenge at Paper Cutz Challenge (Mary's blog). The challenge was to make a card using only red, white, blue, black and yellow. Photobucket

Materials:

- A2 white card base, scraps from GCD Studios and DCWV

- Stamp(s): Inkadinkado Dawn Houser's Thank You (heart); an old Hero Arts (?)(sentiment) stamped using Colorbox chalk ink

The Greeting Farm: Hippie Anya

The mat and pattern paper are from GCD Studios and are part of what I brought home from CHA and even though these are the colors of my rival high school, I really like it. I didn't want to overwhelm the stamped image, thus after playing around with the layout for what seemed like ages, I went for this incredible simple design.

Photobucket

Materials:

- A2 white card base, 4 x 5.25 mat, 1.5 x 4.5" strip of pattern paper, 4 x .75" strip of cardstock

- Stamp(s): The Greeting Farm "Hippie Anya" stamped with Ranger Archival ink and embossed using clear embossing power; Hero Arts "Friends" and Inkadinkadoo "Expressions" stamped with Colorbox chalk ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

The Greeting Farm: Hippie Anya

Sorry for the late posting, but I actually colored her at work and then put her together at home. (My boss is on vacation, so other than manning the phones and getting ahead on a few things, it's pretty quiet at work.) I'm still working on the skin tones for people stamps, and may have to order a few more Copic markers. However, tomorrow I'm going to the CHA Supershow, so I'm am trying to behave. (It didn't work so well earlier during the week as Michaels had a screaming Cuttlebug/Cricut sale which I wasn't expecting when I went in for glue dots and an album, but I didn't buy anything today.) Anyway, here she is:

The Greeting Farm: Rain Rain

It's been hot as heck these past few days, easily into the 90s with the heat index. We had also been promised thunderstorms as a result of the heat. After three days of promised storms but nothing, we finally got a couple of brief cloud bursts last evening. Since five new Copic markers had arrived in the mail, I saw it as an opportunity to work on my coloring technique (which still has miles to go, unfortunately).

- A2 kraft card base

- dark blue cardstock cut at 4 x 5.25"

- Cartridge(s): Gypsy Wanderings - Stem1 (Decor Tag Feature) cut at 4", then cut in half to make an oval, also cut at 1.5" and 1/75"; Fleur2 (Decor Tag Feature) cut at 4 x 5")

The Greeting Farm: Flapper Anya

Hello everyone. Here is another card featuring a stamp from The Greeting Farm. I'm really liking how just a different color scheme creates a completely different card. Here's my first card using this stamp, and as you can see it looks very different. Today's card looks a little more springy and youthful, while last week's card might be a bit more sophisticated. I also used mostly scraps for this card, along with some fun dollar bin ribbon from Michaels.

Materials:

- A2 white card stock base

- Small scrap paper from DCDV Nana's Kitchen collection, cut at 4" x 2.75"

- Blue card stock, cut 3.5 x 3.5" and embossed using a Cuttlebug folder "Spots and Dots"

Good morning. Here is another card featuring a stamp from The Greeting Farm. Sorry for the washed out pix, but it's an incredibly bright and sunny morning. Flapper Anya

I am so thrilled to report that all (or almost all) the websites that were blocked on Friday are now available to me. My building upgraded its wireless internet, which we receive included as part of the rent, and somehow everything under the sun was block--Netflix, Youtube, UStream, Goggle's Picasso, and Photobucket. After leaving a nasty voicemail with my management office Friday afternoon, by late evening (after 10p), I was able to get on UStream. The next morning most everything else was accessible, except for Photobucket. Regardless, it most inconvenient being without Photobucket, even though I had access to Blogger. For both posts on Saturday and Sunday I had to email the pictures to Photobucket, and then use my Iphone Photobucket app to move them to the right folder and get the url. It was a looong process, in case you couldn't tell. On a whim, Sunday evening I tried it again and yay! (Come Monday, when the manager listens to my message, he will likely think I'm nuts. Oh well.)

As I mentioned on Friday, my first Greeting Farm stamps arrived. Here's my first and extremely simple card using the limited edition stamp called Flapper Anya.

Photobucket

Materials:

- A2 white card base

- Making Memories pattern paper from the Heritage Collection called "Scroll Dark - Deep Red"

- purple and white cardstock scraps

- Greeting Farm "Flapper Anya" stamp colored with Tombow dual brush markers.

- Prima flowers

- Colorbox Chalk ink, Stampendous stamp from "Notes for a Friend."

Happy Birthday - Jungle

This was cut using my new Pooh Font cartridge! It's an awesome font cartridge that even comes with honey pots and baby Poohs. The animals are from the Paper Co's Jungle clear stamp set. After all this time, I finally learned the difference between types of inks, specifically that water-based inks will not coat big images as well as chalk or pigment inks. My favorite right now are Colorbox's chalk inks and I definitely plan on getting more when I can. I put the animals on green cardstock and popped them up with foam tape. I used the Zig two-way glue to adhere all the little letters and ran the big ones through my Xyron.

Fairies

The stamps were free from Papercraft Inspirations a couple of months ago. I colored them in with pencils, but am thinking of investing in watercolor markers or crayons, or other fancy pens.
